In the fall of 1984, the Virginia Tech Chinese American Society was founded by Tommy Hwang, a local resident of Lynchburg, VA. His leadership, inquisitiveness and outgoing nature established a precedent for CAS to come. Since then CAS has come a long way to maintain the respect, energy, and cultural atmosphere that Tommy has worked so hard to establish. The history of CAS now begins here.
